Building a house, finishing an apartment or renovating it is often a large undertaking that usually costs us a lot of money and even more nerves. It is not easy to find a reliable specialist who will do his job well. One of our readers, who has undergone several renovations, found out about this.
“Just thinking about another renovation makes me sick”
It’s hard to find a good specialist. I know what I’m talking about, because more than one of them has already given me gray hair. They are paid like they are paid for wheat and they do their job like crazy. More than once I heard: “You will be satisfied.” I rather doubt it! Because just the thought of another renovation makes me sick. They have time for everything but work. Coffee, a cigarette and relax, because everything will be done… I’ve already been through a lot. When I was once cheated by giving an advance payment without a receipt, I realized that in such situations you can’t agree on words with people. Even if they seem nice. There was also flooding of neighbors and blowing up of traffic jams in the entire vertical of the building.
Today, I also remember a situation from a few years ago when we were finishing the bathroom in our apartment. I thought I was going crazy when I saw how the tiles were arranged. Well, one of the masters decided to arrange the tiles on the wall so that those in the last row ended lower than the rest. Did he really think I wouldn’t notice?! Of course, I had it hammered and rebuilt. I couldn’t imagine it being any different. I think most of us could write a book about similar renovation adventures. I’m right?
