He captivated me when I was a kid. He became my role model. I wanted to look for fun and weirdness in life like he did,” writes the actor.

The author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling, called Gambon “a wonderful man and an outstanding actor” and emphasized that she really liked working with him. In turn, Jason Isaacs, known to Hogwarts fans as Lucius Malfoy, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the most exciting thing about playing in the Potter films was that Gambon knew his name and shared his sense of humor.
