Brothers and neighbors of Almonte (Huelva) “unanimously” supported this Sunday, in an Extraordinary Town Hall convened by the Mother Brotherhood, the restoration of the Virgen del Rocío. As indicated by the brotherhood in a press release, the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Almonte hosted on Sunday night the celebration of an Extraordinary General Council convened by the Parent Brotherhood, open to all its brothers and neighbors registered in To the mountain; to address the situation of state of conservation of the Virgen del Rocío.

The planned intervention will be carried out in an estimated period of three months. During this time, Our Lady of Rocío will remain in her Sanctuary, but in facilities specially equipped for this purpose, so the Virgin will be removed from public worship to guarantee their care during this intervention process.

In addition, the calendar of extraordinary pilgrimages of the Rocío brotherhoods and associations will be maintained, although the main altar of the Sanctuary will be temporarily chaired by the Simpecado of the Matrix Brotherhood.
