Special spots before the broadcast of “The Green Border”. There is an answer from the Helios cinema chain

All top representatives of the ruling camp have already commented on the “Green Border”, and a massive campaign against Agnieszka Holland’s latest work is underway on Polish Television. A day before the film’s premiere, the deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration decided to broadcast a special spot before the screening of “The Green Border” in arthouse cinemas.

There is an order to broadcast the government spot in arthouse cinemas. Will multiplexes also be interested?

– Since the film contains many untruths and distortions, we, as the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, decided that this disgusting lampoon will be preceded by a specially prepared spot in arthouse cinemas throughout Poland. Our short spot shows the context of the hybrid operation, the course of this operation and the solution we have introduced to guarantee the security of the Polish state, said Błażej Poboży, explaining the reasons for the order.

The politician’s decision is criticized by publicists and journalists. During the conference, Poboży admitted that he had not seen the film, but fragments from the Internet and the trailer were enough for him to evaluate the film so critically. He also could not answer exactly how many cinemas the spot would be broadcast. He assured that this applies to all arthouse cinemas. – I won’t talk about the technical aspects now – he said.

We decided to write to the representatives of the largest multiplex chains in Poland to find out whether, despite the lack of an order, they also intend to broadcast the “short spot” created by the government. Anna Koczarska, who is a representative of the Helios cinema chain, replied that the screenings of “The Green Border” will take place in these cinemas without the prior broadcast of the government spot:
