“Green border” praised by the opposition, criticized by the government
The “green border” is widely criticized by the government. The government is responsible for how refugees are treated in the area of the Polish-Belarusian border. Although they consistently answer that there are no irregularities, Polish courts have a different opinion and describe the practice of push-backs, shown in “The Green Border”, as “illegal”.
Agnieszka Holland’s film has already been strongly compared to “Nazi propaganda” (Zbigniew Ziobro), “The Green Border” was called “spitting on the Polish uniform” (Jacek Sasin and Joachim Brudziński), and Agnieszka Holland was called “Tusk’s hyena” (Przemysław Czarnek) . None of the politicians had the opportunity to see the film with their own eyes.
