Sometimes, not all grandparents are aware of what the diet of children of a certain age should look like – that’s why smaller or more serious mistakes happen. A reader of the MamaDu.pl website told about one of such situations.

One of the readers of MamaDu.pl – the mother of an 8-year-old girl – decided to share a situation that happened to her recently. The woman’s parents live only a few hundred meters from the primary school her daughter attends, so the girl visits her grandparents relatively often. One day, during one of these visits, a small argument broke out.

She made a fuss with her parents about what they served her daughter for dinner

Some time ago, 8-year-old Oliwia went to her grandparents after finishing school, where her mother was supposed to pick her up after work. In a letter to the editor, the woman admitted that as soon as she opened the door of her parents’ house, she felt the intense smell of mushrooms. Even though she likes their taste, she still forbids her 8-year-old from eating mushroom dishes. – I know from the pediatrician when Oliwka was little that they cannot be given to children. I remember being told something about them not having much nutritional value and being difficult to digest They are completely unsuitable for children – recalls the mother of 8-year-old Oliwia.

However, it turns out that the girl’s grandmother had a slightly different opinion on this matter. She decided to serve her granddaughter pasta with mushroom sauce for dinner. -When I saw it, I made a fuss with my parents. I said I understand they like mushrooms and have experience picking them, but how can they be sure none of them are poisonous or will harm my baby’s liver? – writes a reader of the MamaDu.pl website. The woman also suggested that such behavior was extremely irresponsible and asked her parents never to serve Oliwia a dish consisting mostly of mushrooms again.
