There were critical voices on social media from Internet users, accusing the actress of, among other things, not putting the writer’s name on the cover.

Millie Bobby Brown, however, does not hide this fact; on the contrary, she informed her fans about it on Instagram.

In one of the posts, the actress wrote: I couldn’t do it without you. She also added a photo with Kathleen McGurl, where they present a new book together.

Kathleen McGurl is the author of fourteen books under her own name. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she talked about the process of creating the novel at the request of the young actress: They shared with me the research that Millie and her family had collected, as well as a lot of ideas for the book. We had several Zoom calls together.

The publishing house, in turn, announced that “Nineteen Steps” is a moving story about longing, loss and secrets, and about how far we are willing to go to fight for love.

Some Internet users expressed their concerns about using the services of a ghostwriter. Some people noticed primarily that the name of the writer, Kathleen McGurl, did not appear on the cover of the novel. However, the vast majority of people reacted enthusiastically to the news about the cooperation between a famous actress and an experienced book author.
