The priest is outraged by the behavior of the parishioners. They organized an election campaign in the church

It is no secret that in our country priests are often involved in current politics and even publicly support political options with which they sympathize. However, not all priests like this attitude. – Election campaigning is prohibited in our parish – priest Daniel Wachowiak recently reminded.

In recent days, there has been a lot of media coverage about Father Daniel Wachowiak from the Archdiocese of PoznaƄ. The priest decided that in his parish the words “law and justice” would no longer appear in Psalm 33, but “justice and law”. This change aroused a lot of emotions.

However, this is not the end of the news about the mentioned priest. It turns out that the priest was outraged by the behavior of some of his parishioners. Reason? In his church, someone put out election leaflets for a certain political group. For this reason he decided to reprimand them. He published his appeal on the X platform (formerly Twitter). – Today someone spread leaflets in the church from one of the parties running in the elections. When I saw them before Adoration, several people and I picked them up from the benches, said the priest. The priest also emphasized that electioneering is prohibited in churches. – I would like to inform you that electioneering is prohibited in our parish, including the distribution of such leaflets – he concluded his post.

“For several years we have been looking at each other, not seeing the other person as a person, but just a voter.”

The priest’s post aroused great emotions and started a discussion. – All of us in Poland over the age of 18 are voters. The drama that is unfolding in our nation is that for several years we have been looking at each other, not seeing the other person, but just a voter. Relationships between people flourish when you see not the other party, but your neighbor – the priest wrote in it.
