Before it became one of the most emblematic figures of national musicthe ‘Ecuadorian’ (as she was nicknamed in the beginning) had already built an important career under her birth name, Amelia Berta Martin plansin his native country Argentina. An artistic visit in mid-1965 Ecuador it became permanent when she fell in love with the musician Homer Hydrobothey married and put down roots four children. Since then, the artist has sealed her fame on our territory as Consuelo Vargas with an extensive career spanning almost 60 years.

In 2023, the famous artist, in love with the Ecuadorian aisle, has decided to say goodbye to the stage, in a great concert where she will radiate the same emotion as her first time singing in our country. The beloved 88-year-old singer reveals this in this interview via video call, from her home in Quito. From there he is overflowing with enthusiasm for what will be the last show in which he will sing live.
