In numerous publications about the Pruszków mafia, it was called differently. Some sources write about a “luxurious escort girl”, the mistress of a mafia boss, an influential woman of the underworld. What was it really like? This can only be judged by her actions, for which she spent eight years in prison. From the moment she left the prison walls, no trace of her was practically lost.
Today he is 48 years old. It is not known where he lives, what his name is and what he looks like. Since 2009, she has been covered by the Austrian special witness program, i.e. the equivalent of the Polish crown witness. As Dziennik.pl reported at the time, the Austrian services were to guarantee her this type of protection for testifying against gangster Jeremiah B. in 2001.
“Inka” accepted the offer. She had nothing to complain about: as security, she received a fixed salary, a completely new identity and help in starting a new life. This information was allegedly provided to “Dziennik” by a source from the Central Bureau of Investigation.
In 2020, Polskie Radio 24 hosted investigative journalist Piotr Krysiak, who returned to the scenes of the famous “Inka” case. He recalled that she was the one who exposed former sports minister Jacek Dębski to Jeremiasz B. alias “Baranina”. The politician died after being shot in the street. The reporter admitted that the fate of Halina G. bothered him.
A deadly “tool” of gangsters or a manipulated victim? Who was “Inka”?
Let us recall the story of the murder of Jacek Dębski. The former head of the Office of Physical Culture and Tourism, which existed in the 1990s, was killed on the night of April 11-12, 2001, in front of the “Casa Nostra” restaurant in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa district. Three people participated in the murder: Tadeusz M. alias “Sasza” (paid killer), Jeremiasz B. alias “Mutton” (boss of the Pruszków mafia) and “Inka”. It was Halina G. who led Dębski straight into the hands of the killers.
She left the premises with him. The couple was walking along the Vistula boulevard towards the Poniatowski Bridge when suddenly shots were fired. It was “Baranina”, who was a resident of the Pruszków mafia in Austria and Germany (he lived near Vienna at the time), who ordered the murder of the former minister. Dębski demanded a return of $400,000 from “Baranina”. “Inka” was only 25 years old at that time. Throughout the day, she informed the Pruszków gangster via cell phone about what she was doing and where the former sports minister was currently.
As we read in numerous studies, she was called a “tool” of gangsters, whose task was to lure selected victims into the killers’ trap. She met “Mutton” at the age of 20, after one violent relationship with a gangster who died in a mafia fight – most likely with “Mutton” involved. After some time, “Inka” became the mistress of a Pruszków mafioso.
She said she was drunk and didn’t remember anything
The day after the murder, Halina G. reported to the police. At first she denied everything. She claimed she was drunk and didn’t remember anything. A day later, however, she “snapped” – she put the entire blame on Jeremiah B. After a year spent in custody, she also blamed a paid killer, Tadeusz M.

At first, she faced life imprisonment, but she decided to cooperate with the prosecutor’s office. After her testimony, first “Sasza” was arrested, followed by “Baranina” soon after. Both did not live to see their sentences, committing suicide in their cells. In 2003, the trial of “Inka” began, which took 6 years, including interruptions. On April 12, 2007, i.e. on the anniversary of Dębski’s murder, the sentence was 8 years’ imprisonment.
Psychologists also had interesting and divergent opinions about it. Some pointed out that she was a “selfish manipulator”, while others saw her as a victim, looking for love and warmth, who could be easily exploited. Many people agreed that she was exceptionally beautiful.
“I thought the second bullet would be for me”
While still in prison, she married a French millionaire, Jerome Babinet, who came to Poland on business in the 1990s. She left prison on April 11, 2009, at the age of 33. According to witnesses, when getting into the car she showed the gathered journalists a vulgar gesture. Her new husband was waiting for her in the car. The couple left Poland the next day.
During the ongoing proceedings, “Inka” provided extensive testimony. The following part comes from her explanation, which covered nearly 100 pages of typescript – writes Kazimierz Turaliński in:
I was afraid of the power of money, influence and power […] This is a political and mafia affair […] Anyone who decided to cooperate with Jeremiah B. bought a one-way ticket […] I was mainly worried about myself. Even when I went to visit him in Vienna, I wondered whether I would swim somewhere in the Danube […] The perpetrator was standing behind me […] I believe that Jeremiah B. was the person who ordered Dębski’s murder […] He asked where it was […] Around 11 p.m. he called again. He told me to destroy the SIM card and go outside with Dębski in 10 minutes […] He treated me like a tool, not a human being […] We were just pieces in his puzzle […] He did his thing and left as if nothing had happened […] I thought the second bullet would be for me […] I stood Jacek up
