Encouraged by the advertisement, the man wanted to make money on cryptocurrencies. He invested PLN 12,000. PLN and observed constantly growing profits. When he wanted to withdraw his newly earned money, his funds evaporated from the account.

As the man reported, he was approached by a woman advertising investments in cryptocurrencies on one of the social networking sites. She claimed that she has been dealing with virtual money for many years, she employs many financial analysts and she has never lost money on these investments. The 65-year-old believed in the assurances and – tempted by the vision of quick money – decided to try his hand at it. The woman in question was supposed to help with everything. The injured party – in accordance with her instructions – transferred his savings – a total of PLN 12,000 – to the indicated bank accounts. zloty. He himself received access to – as the police wrote – an “investor account”, where he could monitor his profits in real time.

As promised by the lady he met on the Internet, the money in the account was only increasing, so the man finally decided to withdraw some of the money he had earned. Then his account (which was most likely fake anyway) was blocked. Unable to withdraw either his profits or his invested savings, the 65-year-old realized he had fallen victim to fraud.

The police warn against making hasty investment decisions. We should be especially careful when someone encourages us to do so, declaring quick and high profits. It is also worth being careful when such a person encourages you to install an application on your smartphone or offers selfless help in investing.
