“Pooh: Blood and Honey” debuted in cinemas around the world at the beginning of the year after a quite successful promotional campaign. Getting people to go to the cinema to see a low-budget, gory Winnie the Pooh movie wasn’t a particularly difficult task, and the production was exactly as bad as the disgusting trailers promised. Encouraged by the “success” of the first part, the creators have already announced the next one.

At the end of 2021, the exclusive film rights of Walt Disney’s studio to characters known from the popular children’s novel expired. Rhys Frake-Waterfield – director and film producer – sensed the moment and decided to present the world a completely different version of Winnie the Pooh than we know from our childhood. This is how the cheap, chaotic and quite disgusting slasher “Pooh: Blood and Honey” was created, in which a nice teddy bear and his friend Piglet organize a bloodbath.
As it turns out, Tigger was missing from the “masterpiece” for a reason. The problem of copyrights to his character still existing at the time of the filming of “Blood and Honey” has been solved – these rights will expire in January 2024, and just a month later the movie with Tigger the Murderer will be released in cinemas. The first frames with a teddy bear fond of violence have just been shown:
Tigger is incredibly brutal. He loves to torture his victims before he kills them, says producer Scott Jeffrey in an interview with ING.com.
Additionally, a much larger budget has been planned for the second part of the horror film, thanks to which the film may finally start to truly scare and not embarrass.
