Autumn poster from TVP like the Last Supper. The graphic designer cried when he glued the Jagiellon family with Steczkowska

Nothing is missing, because there is everything that could be accommodated. TVP promotes autumn on its channels with a bizarre poster whose main slogan was: “more of everything, the poster will endure.”

Looking at the poster promoting the autumn schedule, one can only say with relief that, fortunately, Telewizja Polska does not produce anything about antiquity, because that is the only thing missing from the set. The graphic designers managed to seat everyone who will have their programs on TVP this season at a table richly covered with autumn victuals.

TVP promotes the schedule with a bizarre poster

The poster was presented during the schedule conference together with the spot some time ago, but in recent weeks it has also started to appear on the streets of Polish cities. What is striking is the attempt to squeeze all the most important TVP stars into A1 sizes, including the seats of the Jagiellonians from the series “Korona Królów”.

Is this a subtle comparison to da Vinci’s Last Supper? Or maybe the approach of “let’s squeeze in three more people and a dog, the poster won’t burst from the excess.” If we add the clear boundaries of “cutting out” the characters from their original photos, we get a nightmare that now decorates the streets and only intensifies the ubiquitous advertising disease that all of Poland suffers from.

Who did TVP put on the poster?

The billboards and poster refer directly to the script of the schedule spot. It shows a harmonious and smiling TVP team preparing for a ceremonial dinner and barbecue. Someone brings apple pie, someone pours cherry compote, everyone laughs, and then a wolfhound comes running and the fun never ends. The slogan “Let’s be together in autumn” was taken as literally as possible. The table was attended not only by the crew of “M jak miłość”, “Pytania na śniadanie” and the jurors of “The Voice of Poland”, but also by actors from “The Crown of Kings” and the series “Dewajtis” – all in historical costumes. Marta Manowska in a wreath and Teresa Lipowska were also glued on.

The slogan is undoubtedly consistent with the principles of creating advertising posters: simple, catchy, three-word, although not particularly legible thanks to the selected font. There is no need for more than three words, because there is no place for them. Unfortunately, the remaining principles – moderation, a single strong accent, order and aesthetics – lie and cry for vengeance.

And who is missing?

As you know, 15 people and a dog are still not enough on one poster. That’s why helpful Internet users come with suggestions about who else is missing. Apart from John Paul II, hovering over the entire presented assembly, the absence of Maciej Kurzajewski alongside Katarzyna Cichopek and Aleksander Sikora and Marek Sierocki, associated with Eurovision and “Szansa na success”, is clearly felt. Also noteworthy is the complete lack of people associated with TVP Info or the main edition of “Wiadomości” – there is no Danuta Holecka and Michał Adamczyk, there is no Michał Rachoń and the main commentator Marcin Najman.
