Charlie Newling was found dead in a car wreck. A car crashed and burst into flames on Saturday evening after it went off the road and fell to the bottom of a 70-meter cliff in the Sydney suburb of Raleigh Reserve. The police and emergency services were notified by witnesses who noticed the burning wreck. According to Australian media, Newling’s death is not treated by the police as suspicious – it was most likely an accident. Newling has had problems with the law in the past. He struggled with alcohol addiction and was sentenced to 13 months in prison for criminal threats he made against his stepfather. The media then published numerous text messages he wrote to his mother, in which he threatened her partner with death. He also had a fight a few days after leaving the “Bachelorette” show. He commuted his prison sentence to community service and was also convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol.
