The great cinematographic phenomenon of the year, ‘Barbie’, has been in theaters for almost two months. Its time at the box office has been overwhelming and it has broken many records, managing to raise 1 billion dollars in 17 daysa record previously held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Additionally, it has been crowned the highest grossing film of the year. Now, there is good news for those who have not yet been able to go to the movie theaters or who want to repeat and that is that Greta Gerwig’s film is coming to the small screen.
As reported by the production company, the feature film will be available ‘online’ in Spain this Tuesday, September 12. In this sense, the Barbie digital rental price is 12.99 euros, while the online sale price is 16.99 euros and you can find the tape in both options on the following platforms:
- AppleTV
- Amazon Prime Video
- Movistar+
- Orange
- Vodafone
- Rakuten TV
- Microsoft
- Youtube
- Google Play
However, in order to enjoy the movie in ‘streaming’ we will still have to wait a little longer, since its digital premiere has been delayed due to its great success. Although the exact date is not yet known, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav confirmed in a meeting about the company’s second quarter earnings that Barbie will arrive on the HBO Max streaming service during “next fall.”
However, even though Barbie is going to arrive in homes on September 12, that does not mean that the film is going to disappear from theaters. In fact, on the 22nd of that same month, Warner Bros. is going to release a new version of the film in IMAX theaters, also including a Unreleased post-credits scene.
