Football is our national sport, loved by many Poles. Therefore, the outraged voices and comments of Internet users who cannot remain indifferent to the recent defeat of our national team in Tirana should not be surprising. This situation has made it very difficult for us to advance to next year’s European Championships.
Polish players also got hit in “Question for Breakfast”.
On the other hand, our national team is doing much better in another sport, i.e. volleyball. The Polish team advanced to the quarterfinals of the European Championship, defeating the Belgians 3-1, while the players were being beaten by the Albanians. The presenter of “Pytania na śnidanie”, Małgorzata Opczowska-Łęska, referred to these two clashes. She decided to start the program with that.
As usual, she initially started talking about what topics would appear in today’s episode. One of them was “poisonous mushrooms that look very similar to edible ones.” – Mushroom picking is our national sport. And I think it should stay that way – said Opczowska-Łęska, and then she decided to tease the Polish players.
– Because it was said that football is our national sport, but mushroom picking will probably be better for us. And volleyball, of course – the boys are on top! – the presenter interjected, to which her co-host Robert Koszucki started laughing. It must be admitted that it is rare to hear this type of jokes about the national team on TVP programs.
