Ewa Gawryluk did not get the role due to her age
Even though Ewa Gawryluk has been dazzling viewers on screen for years, she openly admits that this profession is extremely demanding – especially for actresses. It turns out that women are often victims of discrimination, most often because of their age. Gawryluk once experienced a similar situation when she was applying for the role of a 25-year-old girl. The artist was 29 years old at the time, but – as she claims – she looked much younger. She therefore expected that her candidacy would be accepted – unfortunately, this did not happen.
The actress speaks openly about age discrimination
– I experienced this quite early. At 29 I was too old for a character who was supposed to be 25 years old. What is particularly common in this profession is that our ID cards are looked at and the casting is based on them – said the star in an interview for cozatydzien.tvn.pl. Even though Gawryluk is very concerned about this, she currently tries to approach this issue with caution. He claims that aging affects each of us, it is completely natural and it is worth “just not worrying about it and go for it.”
