Last week, the media circulated information about the inglorious past of the host of “Wiadomości” and the head of TAI, Michał Adamczyk. According to Onet’s report, Michał Adamczyk was accused of brutally beating his partner 20 years ago and heard the prosecutor’s charges. We also managed to obtain the court’s judgment, which stated that “the perpetrator and guilt of the accused are beyond doubt and have been confirmed by the evidence collected in the case.” The case was conditionally discontinued in 2002, but has only now been revealed.

This caused an even greater image crisis for TVP than the one it has been constantly facing since the beginning of the rule of Law and Justice. Posts by a former employee of the national media, Karolina Pajączkowska, who decided to reveal that she was exposed to inappropriate behavior from colleagues at work also added fuel to the fire. According to her, none of her superiors reacted.
Due to these reports, Plotka journalist Karolina Sobocińska decided to discuss this topic with Joanna Racewicz during the Deni Cler show. At the beginning, she said that a person like Adamczyk should not be a journalist. Later, she was asked whether if she received an offer to cooperate with TVP, she would accept it. Her answer leaves no doubt:
I am associated with Telewizja Polsat. At the moment, my place on Polish Television is absolutely out of the question. Certainly not under the same flag and command as it is now, said Racewicz.
Later she added that she was sentimental about Polish Television because it was the place where she learned her profession and met many authorities. She mentioned, among others: “excellent” Joanna Luboń, prof. Młynarczyk, Tomasz Lis, Maciej Orłoś and many others. “These were my colleagues whom I looked at as a young journalist with great admiration and drank nectar from their lips,” she commented.
