Netflix’s number one in the world for a week is a film about seduction. But not the way you think

After a few weeks of dominance, “Life Interrupted. The Case of Isabella Nardoni” gave way to a much lighter Mexican production. Netflix published last week’s most watched in the world.

At the end of the summer, the preferences of Netflix viewers have changed. Instead of investigations, mysteries and bloodbaths, we started looking for much lighter content. published what was most watched in the past week in the world.

Top 10 Netflix. In first place – “Ensnare the Doctor”

Forget about difficult topics and depression that some productions leave in a person. Last week, Netflix viewers around the world bet on very light entertainment. In the “foreign language films” category, the podium was won by a Mexican comedy about seduction – but not quite as you might think. The issue is all the more surprising because until now, Spanish-language productions with “seduction” in the title meant only one thing.

“The Great Seduction” was translated into Polish, unfortunately, revealing half of the plot of the film: “Usidlić Doctor”. It is really about ensnaring a medic who would be willing to live on a small island and work for the benefit of an equally small community. However, since no one is willing to make such a sacrifice of their own free will, the residents unite for a common goal: to find and fall in love with the victim so that she will want to stay in Santa Maria forever.

In addition, it’s not even an original idea – “Usidlić Doctor” is a remake of the 2003 film, which, however, did not make a sensation. The Canadian original appeared only in French-speaking regions of the world (e.g. only in the French part of Switzerland or in Belgium). However, the idea turned out to be so catchy that it was also remade in France, Italy and the English-speaking part of Canada. As you can see, now is the time for Mexico.

“Snare the Doctor” is a light, simple and not very clever production, but it has the advantage over previous films that it greatly improves the mood – and nothing spoils the mood like the end of the holidays.

Netflix. We don’t want to be depressed at the end of the holiday

“Ensnare the Doctor” was watched by more than five million people around the world. The series is dominated by “One Piece” (i.e. pirates with katanas, because why not), in non-English series a little more serious “Ragnarok”. Meanwhile, in English-language films, a light comedy drama about teenage problems jumped on the podium “You are not invited to my bat mitzvah” with Adam Sandler and his wife, Jackie Sander. As you can see, the song “Wake me up when september ends” was created for a reason – it’s a hard time for everyone in the world, hence the need for much lighter entertainment.
