This is a preview of Mera’s third album, which we can expect this fall. So far, the singer has released two albums – “It was nice to meet you” from 2017 and “Dekalog Spolsky” from 2019. In addition, two years ago a musical audiobook accompanying the book “I’m Marysia and I think I’ll kill myself today” appeared.

The latest work is a kind of manifesto against the stereotypical role of women in the Polish home. “It’s a tribute to women, but it’s also going against the traditional approach to relationship roles and the expectations that society places on women. What I’m saying is none of us have to do anything if we don’t want to. It works both ways, so I feel that it’s in line with me – I can be someone’s Maria, and if this state of affairs hurts, there is always a way out – ‘Maria divorcee!'” – says Mery Spolsky about her latest song.
The clip created for the song is also very interesting. In the press release, the artist says that she wanted it not to be a simple picture, but something that adds new meanings and emphasizes the problem of sexism and objectification of women, which results from the lyrics of the song, which is entirely written by the singer.
The clip was directed by Michał Sierakowski, and its characters were played by famous personalities. The role of the priest of Mera’s marriage was played by a personal trainer and celebrity Qczaj. Among the other heroes, we also see other friends of the singer, such as Ralph Kaminski, Wiktor Dyduła, Miro Kępiński, Michał Kowalonek (former singer of Myslovitz), Łukasz Leszko (groom dressed entirely in latex), drag queens Shady Lady, MaRyja de Von and Himera and Mera Spolsky’s dad.
