Fighter Vadim Nemkov relinquishes Bellator title due to heavy weight races
Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Vadim Nemkov explained the refusal of the Bellator light heavyweight title. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Nemkov, who moved up to the heavyweight category, shared that he was offered a rematch with Corey Anderson and Phil Davis, but he does not like endless rematches. “Second: it’s already getting hard to lose weight, I’m already 31 years old. After talking with the doctors, I decided to switch to a different weight, the doctors said: a couple more weight races, and you can finish the sport, ”he said and added that there were no negotiations on new fights yet.
In June, Nemkov topped the Bellator rating, regardless of weight category. From the leading position, he removed the Brazilian Patricio Freire.
In total, Nemkov has 17 wins with two defeats in mixed martial arts. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid.
