The hearing was held at the request of Baumgartner’s team, scored his own victory in June when child support was temporarily set at $129,000.

But that was overturned by Judge Thomas Anderle of Santa Barbara, California. who ruled that his request for child support totaling $161,000 a month was excessive and more than Costner’s three children “reasonably need.”

The former couple have three children together, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. Costner also has four grown children from previous relationships.

She claimed her new $40,000-a-month property “doesn’t compare” to Costner’s multimillion-dollar beach estate. and claimed the children should spend time with her in the $150,000-a-month beach house which he hoped to rent after his six-month lease was up.

Baumgartner also complained that his new property did not have an ocean view. and said that the standard of living in the new house cannot be compared to that in the matrimonial house.

Costner appeared stunned when she heard the verdict, while Baumgartner stood up at the news with her head down and quickly consulted with her legal team. Daily mail details that both left the premises through the back exit.

There will be a new trial in November, where Baumgartner’s team will argue that the handbag designer should receive spousal support, despite the fact that she signed a prenuptial agreement that allowed her to receive a one-time payment of the $1.5 million she already received.
