He Guayaquil International Film Festival celebrated its ninth edition this week, from August 28 to September 1. The event better known as celebrate included the screening of 25 films from 8 countries.
Today, Friday 1 September, the closing ceremony took place, where the award ceremony for the best programming titles took place. The award ceremony, organized by the FestiCineGye Foundation, took place in the Cinematheque of the House of Ecuadorian Culturecore of Guayas.
There were four categories competing for the coveted Gold and Silver Iguanas, the Contest Medals and Special Mentions. Ecuador was the most awarded country, with two awards. Spain and Mexico received separate recognitions.
