In 2024, we will have two minimum wages – January 1 and July 1. Despite this, the nursing benefit will be indexed only once. According to , until September 15, 2023, the Council of Ministers has time to issue a regulation specifying the amount of the minimum salary for 2024. According to the proposal that has been presented so far, it is expected to amount to PLN 4,242. Currently, it is PLN 3,490, which means that In 2018, the indexation index of the care benefit will be as much as 21.54%, i.e. it will increase to PLN 2,988 per month. Nursing benefit 2023. Who can apply for it and where to apply?
Currently, the nursing benefit is payable to a person who resigned from employment or other gainful employment to take care of a family member with a disability up to the age of 18, or in the case of continuing education, up to the age of 25. They can apply for:
- mother or father,
- actual guardians of the child,
- a person who is a foster family related to grandparents, siblings,
- other persons who, in accordance with the provisions of the Family and Guardianship Code, are liable for maintenance. The exception is people with severe disabilities.
At present, people who receive 2008 cannot take up employment or gainful employment, or have an established right to an old-age pension. If, in addition to the care benefit, they are also entitled to parental benefit, special care allowance, supplement to family allowance or carer’s allowance, they must opt for one of them. The nursing benefit is granted upon an application which must be submitted online via the Trusted Profile or the Empatia portal, or in person or by post at the appropriate unit responsible for its payment, i.e. at the city, commune or social welfare center.
