Paul Mescal was afraid to approach Pedro Pascal

During an interview with Esquire magazine, Paul Mescal admitted that he felt intimidated when he first met him at the airport. Despite the fact that he plays the main role in Ridley Scott’s new film, the actor did not have the courage to approach his colleague from the set. So he waited for Pedro Pascal’s first step.

“I was too scared to approach him. He himself came first and he seemed so sincere. I’m looking forward to spending more time with him,” Paul Mescal told Esquire.

During the conversation, Paul Mescal also referred to how he feels about working on the second part of “Gladiator”.

“I can’t express how stressed I am when talking specifically about this movie because it’s by far the biggest movie I’ve made. I’m really excited… I think it’s really well written and pays homage to the first part…” added the actor.

While production on Gladiator 2 is still underway, filming had to be interrupted due to ongoing strikes in Hollywood. The world premiere of the film, which also stars Connie Nielsen and Joseph Quinn, is scheduled for November 24, 2024.
