Will the 14th pension be permanent? Kaczynski responds
PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński during a meeting with voters in Kędzierzyn-Koźle on November 20, 2022. announced that the 13th and 14th pensions in 2023 will be maintained. There will also be a revaluation.
— It will be 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. (retirement – ed.), We hope that it will be at a good level. Of course, there will also be a revaluation at a level appropriate to inflation, i.e. high. These will not be small sums, but compared to today’s pensions, it will be a significant percentage
He added that despite the shielding policy, Polish society lost the size of its purchasing power.
— These are mainly losses of pensioners and we will somehow make up for it in the next 8-10 months; this situation will clearly improve,” Kaczyński noted.
14. retirement is not for everyone. Who will the money go to?
so-called “fourteen” is an additional annual cash benefit for pensioners, which entered into force on March 8, 2021. In 2022, it was paid for the second time. The right to receive the money was granted to seniors who, on 24 August this year, they received a retirement pension, disability pension or other long-term benefit, and its amount did not exceed PLN 2,900 gross. Then they could count on an amount equal to the value of the lowest old-age pension. In 2022, it amounts to PLN 1,338.44 gross. For the rest, the “PLN for PLN” principle was applied.
