also known as Skute Bobo and Młody Matczak is definitely one of the most popular Polish rappers of the young generation. The artist easily ticks off successive diamond records, sells thousands of concert tickets, undertakes further cooperation with recognizable brands and wins awards. The number of Popkillers, Fryderyks and Empik Bestsellers is growing every year on Matczak’s shelf.

Mata announced a new album. When is the premiere of “<33"?

Mata’s last album is “Młody Matczak” released in 2021. The album has already been certified double platinum in pre-orders. It also became the most listened to album by a Polish artist on the Spotify platform in the year of its release and the second most frequently bought album in Poland. Will Young Matczak’s third studio album repeat this success?

We’ll find out soon enough. Mata has just announced that his latest album entitled “<33" will be released on September 8, 2023 under the label SBM Label. The album is now available for pre-order.

The artist surprised again with the cover of the new release. The rapper lies on it in the arms of an angel. His hair resembles a crown of thorns, and the red title of the album placed under the ribs evokes associations with Jesus’ spear wound. The whole thing seems to refer to visual arts called pietas, where we see the Mother of God mourning Jesus with the body of her son on her lap. The most popular of these is Michelangelo’s “Pieta”. The author of the cover of “<33" is Maciej Kość Bamoy.

On the occasion of the premiere of Mata’s album, Spotify launched a countdown via the application for the first time. Each user can save the date of release of the album and track the clock. On the website, we can already listen to three pieces from the rapper’s latest album: “Płyta nie sit”, “Kryształowa kula” and “M”.

Mata has already released the full track list for his latest release. In the titles we will find references to current trends – the tenth number on the album is “Ken and Barbie”, Mata also commemorated his cooperation with the Oshee brand – one of the tracks was entitled “Różowe Osh33”.

Although Mata’s album has not yet been released, she has already met a lot of criticism. The comments are full of unfavorable opinions about both the singles available online and the cover, which is standard when it comes to popular artists. Commenters accuse the rapper of shocking with strength and weak pieces. “It’s sad to use something that is important to a lot of people just to shock” “another shit” “disgusting cover” “awful” “you can’t call it hip-hop” “what a sewer” – write dissatisfied listeners.

Mata’s fans, however, defend the idol and appeal to wait with opinions until the premiere of the entire material. “I can’t wait for the album, I can’t stand it for so many days”, “Legend has it that someday it will end with Hate Mata” – we read in the comments. “Open your heads, you want him to talk about school and drinking on the stairs all his life?” – concludes one of Matczak’s fans.
