Gas additive. Who is it for?

The gas allowance is actually a refund of VAT for gas supplied in 2023. However, not everyone can apply for it. If you use gas to cook or heat water, you will not be eligible for a refund. It is intended only for people who use gas to heat houses and flats. Only in this case it is possible to apply for a gas supplement. What conditions must be met? First of all, you must be the person to whom the gas invoices are issued and you must not exceed the established income threshold. In the case of a household, it will be PLN 2,100, and in the case of a multi-person household, it may be only PLN 1,500 per person. From August 1, 2023, only income from 2022 is taken into account.

Gas allowance 2023, i.e. VAT refund for gas. What do you have to do to get it?

In addition to meeting the requirements, you must also submit an appropriate application to apply for a gas allowance. It must be delivered to the municipality where you live. You can also complete the formalities in the mObywatel application or via the ePUAP platform. The deadline for submitting documents is February 29, 2024 and you can do it at any time after receiving a VAT invoice. From March 1, 2024, the application may only concern a VAT invoice delivered up to 30 days before submitting the application.
