How to care for raspberries? Pay attention to watering
it is best to plant them in a well-lit, warm position, sheltered from the wind, in a place where you provide them with a light, permeable substrate with an acid reaction and a pH of about 6.5. Place the seedlings in the holes about 40 cm apart. The space between the rows should be up to 1.5 meters. In the care of shrubs, regular, but not too abundant watering is important, especially in the period from mid-May to September. Make them so that the soil is constantly slightly moist, but not overflowing, and they will repay you with delicious fruits.
When to repot raspberries? Remember this, and in the next season they will be heavy with fruit
The raspberry bush grows very quickly, and at the same time has a relatively shallow root system. Therefore, if you need it, you can replant it without any major problems. Depending on the variety, the best time for this is late summer (end of August) or (late September and October, or finally early November), when they have finished fruiting and gone dormant. Shrubs should be repotted on a windless and cloudy day and, if possible, quickly to prevent the roots from drying out. Water them well the day before. Dig up the plant with as much root ball as possible and move to a new hole of the same depth as the bush was growing before. Then sprinkle it thoroughly and press it. Finally, when they are all in their new place, water them again.
