How much is unemployment benefit 2023? From June 1, the amount has changed
In addition to retirement, the unemployed can also count on the annual indexation of the amount. Pursuant to the Act on promotion of employment and labor market institutions, the amount of the benefit is calculated on the basis of the average price level of goods and services for the previous year. Therefore, from June 1, 2023, people who are registered with the employment office as unemployed could count on an increase in the benefit. How much do they receive when they are entitled to the benefit in the basic, i.e., ?
- PLN 1,491.90 gross in the first 90 days,
- PLN 1,171.60 gross in the following days.
Previously, it was PLN 1,304.10 and PLN 1,024.10 respectively.

It should be borne in mind that the benefit is not always granted in full. Its amount depends primarily on the length of service of the unemployed person. For people who have been employed for up to 5 years, it will be 80 percent. basic allowance, i.e.:
- PLN 1,193.60 in the first 90 days,
- PLN 937.30 in the following days.
People whose seniority is from 5 to 20 years can count on payment in the full amount mentioned above. What if someone worked longer? Then it will go to his account in the amount of 120 percent, i.e.:
- PLN 1,790.30 in the first 90 days,
- PLN 1,406.00 in the following days.
It is worth knowing that the June indexation also applies to the internship scholarship. From June 1, it amounts to PLN 1,790.30.
