Such a duet as Wojciech Mann and Krzysztof Materna formed on the air of Telewizja Polska happens once in a million. Sketches known from “The continuation of the program in a moment” are quoted by several generations to this day. Parodies of “Spell of Couples”, “Wheels of Fortune” or the famous cycles “Pulse Pulse”, “Circle of Plenty”, “Uncle’s Loving Advice” and “Doctor Znadwago” do not lose their freshness and still entertain. Fans of the format have been hoping for years that they will finally see new episodes, and journalists will return to the screens with new ideas.

This time, the faithful viewers of “The continuation of the program in a moment” have reason to believe that their requests have finally been heard. A joint photo of two well-known satirists with a very eloquent signature appeared on the network.
Wojciech Mann published a joyful photo on his Facebook alongside Krzysztof Materna. “Somehow it happened that we suddenly put on slimming corsets, cheeks on rarer places, appropriate makeup, the most beautiful outfits and took a photo” – writes the journalist as if nothing had happened. However, it was Mann’s last sentence that interested commentators the most. “If there is a sequel, it will be…” – there was a mysterious reference to the name of the cult program.
“As long as there is strength, come back”
After a few hours, the post already had about 2,000 comments. Fans of the duo supported the satirists and expressed enthusiasm for their return. “As long as there is strength, come back”, “But I miss men in public space. I love it!”, “Let it be, solo you are great, but your duo is a double firecracker!” – the comments sound. Even Wojciech Cugowski, who wrote under the post: “May it happen! You miss us so much, dear gentlemen!”.
“Continuation of the program in a moment” was broadcast on TVP2 in 1988-1994. The format, together with Mann and Materna, was co-created by Grzegorz Wasowski, Sławomir Szczęśniak and Arkadiusz Stegenka. The episodes also featured special guests – actors, musicians and TV personalities. The duo hosted, among others, Katarzyna Figura, Jacek Kawalec and Kazimierz Górski.
