Peter Jackson praised “Talk to Me!”. The horror film will soon hit Polish cinemas

The director was impressed by the Australian production of “Talk to Me!”. According to NME, Jackson described the film as “mercilessly terrifying and unbearably disturbing”, which is a hefty compliment for a horror film. “‘Talk to Me’ is not a good movie, it’s a very good one,” said the creator quoted by TotalFilm.

“It’s the most intense horror movie I’ve seen in years,” concludes Jackson. The creator is not alone in his opinion. One of the most critically acclaimed horror directors of recent years, Jordan Peele called the Philippou brothers to tell them how much their work inspires him.

“It was the craziest thing ever,” said Michael, the director of Talk to Me! about a phone call with Peel. “I could barely hold the phone down, I was shaking so much.”

“Talk to me!”. What is horror about? When is the premiere in Polish cinemas?

“A mysterious embalmed hand allows a group of friends to bring the spirits of the dead into their bodies. But when they break the rules of the game, life turns into a nightmare for each of them,” reads the description of the film “Talk to Me!”. The plot of the film tells the story of young people who, during a party, connect with the afterlife by means of a mysterious hand. Any person who grabs the hand and says the password “talk to me” gives the body to the demon’s possession. Contact with unknown forces can last only 90 seconds – this was the only rule that friends were supposed to follow.

“Talk to me!” will appear in Polish cinemas on August 18, the world premiere of the production took place almost a year earlier – on October 30, 2022. However, it is known that the Philippou brothers have already shot a prequel to their high-profile hit.
