Christine Ha’s story can inspire many. Due to serious health problems, the woman lost her eyesight, but this did not prevent her from pursuing her culinary passion. In 2012, she took part in the American edition of “MasterChef”, and the victory became her career pass.

Christina Ha’s life turned upside down in 2004 when doctors diagnosed her with Devic’s syndrome, also known as optic neuritis and spinal cord inflammation. As a result of the disease, the immune system attacks its own organs, which in her case resulted in permanent blindness. Despite the difficulties, she did not give up her greatest passion and consistently pursued her dreams.

Cooking has always been her interest. She even successfully ran a culinary blog, sharing her recipes and ideas for dishes with Internet users. In 2012, she decided to go a step further and decided to participate in the 3rd American edition. Already at the casting stage, her sense of taste delighted the jurors, who decided to invite her to the next stage, as the first blind participant in history. Despite health problems, Christina did not have a reduced fare. She was only helped by the person who served the products she asked for.

Thanks to above-average culinary skills, she proved that all adversities can be overcome. Out of 19 completed episodes, she won as many as 7 of them, and was on the podium three times. In the end, it was Christine Ha who became the winner of the program, winning the prestigious title and a quarter of a million dollars to make her dreams come true. A breakthrough was also the chance to publish his own cookbook, “Recipes from my home kitchen: Asian and American national dishes” appeared on the publishing market in 2013 and quickly became a bestseller.

Only 3 years after her television debut, Christine Ha was already a real star in the culinary world. She was a guest in various formats many times, but the most successful was the job in the Vietnamese version. However, this is not the only success in her career. Kucharka also stars alongside Carl Heinriche in the Canadian show Four Senses for the blind on AMI-TV, and is a regular contributor to the Golf Coast Journal.

Following the punch, the 44-year-old also decided to open a few small restaurants around the world, which today enjoy a reputation and customer recognition. One of them is Xin Chao in Houston, which she runs together with Tony Nguyen, promoting Vietnamese-American cuisine. She has also made numerous appearances as a TED talker, talking about her experiences and motivating others to never lose faith in their own abilities.
