Andrzej Bobola lived in the years 1591-1657. He was a clergyman, called “the apostle of Polesia”, he died a martyr’s death. In 1755, Pope Benedict XIV counted Bobola among the martyrs. It is worth noting that Bobola is one of the Catholic patrons of our country.

The saint was to appear to three people. Each time he appealed for strengthening the faith of Poles. Bobola’s first prophecy occurred in 1702. It was then supposed to appear to Rector Marcin Godebski. “You’re looking for a patron to protect the College?” You have me. I am your brother. Andrzej Bobola, killed by the Cossacks in defense of the faith. Find my body. For it is God’s will that you separate me from others, the saint was to say at that time. After this apparition, a coffin with Bobola’s body was found. After opening the crypt, the clergy saw his body. Interestingly, despite the passage of years, it has not decomposed. It was considered a miracle at the time.
“When the war pictured before you ends in peace”
The next prophecy of the saint took place in 1819. This time he appeared to Father Alojzy Korzeniowski in Vilnius. During prayers for Poland’s independence, the clergyman suddenly saw the face of Bobola. The saint told him to look out the window. Korzeniowski then saw a terrifying conflict. – When the war, which you have before you, ends in peace, Poland will be rebuilt and I will be recognized as its main patron – the martyr was to say then. Interestingly, at some point the saint also began to appear to Fr. Józef Niżnik in the 1980s. The priest described these meetings in the book “St. Andrzej Bobola. Hero of Christ”. The saint then said to him: “Start worshiping me.” Through these words, his cult began to spread in our country.
It’s worth keeping your distance
The prophecies of various mystics are very popular. It’s good if we approach them with distance and they are only entertainment for us. It is worse when we treat them seriously and, for example, make our life plans or decisions dependent on them. – Some want fortune tellers to take responsibility for the decisions they make, which could promise a simpler solution. One can risk saying that consolation in divination is needed by people who feel loneliness and want quick answers to various life dilemmas.
