They flew to Europe on holiday, now they’re complaining. “Never again”

Enjoying a holiday in Europe turned out to be quite a challenge for my friends from Australia. On their TikTok profile, they published a series of recordings explaining why the trip was not entirely successful. The place where they spent the night affected them the most.

Demi and Lviv come from Australia and this year they decided to spend their holidays traveling around Europe. Just before departure, they called their trip “the adventure of a lifetime”. Friends visited Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece and Spain. However, not everything went according to plan. In a series of recordings on TikTok, they talked about their holiday failures.

Holidays in Europe. Australian women list what went wrong

First, they missed the train from Nice to Paris because they couldn’t handle the Uber order. It cost them $1,000. In a hostel in Athens, it turned out that they share a room with other tourists. Also, the door to the room did not lock. In Italy booked a cooking class but didn’t check the location. It turned out to be 50 minutes from where they were, so they couldn’t use it.

They took advantage of the wine tasting, but did not anticipate that the next day they might not be ready for the ferry trip. “It was the worst experience of my life,” one friend said in the video. However, the thing that surprised them the most was staying in a hostel. They dedicated a separate video to him.

“We found out we hated hostels”

Clogged shower drains, sagging mattresses and travelers who sleep with their eyes open are experiences that tourists described in their video as traumatic. They also indicated that they discovered why hostels are the cheapest form of accommodation. “We found out that we hate hostels. We can’t cope unless they are five stars or more,” they stressed. They said that if they had to stay in such conditions for the whole trip, they would have returned to Australia two months earlier.

Friends were outraged that one of the women who shared a room with them slept naked. “I don’t know what the rules are about what you wear to sleep in a hostel, but I didn’t know you could sleep without anything,” Demi said. They also didn’t like that there were no separate bathrooms for women and the showers were transparent. In addition, headphones falling off and drains clogged disgusted them. “Never again,” they stressed.
