The Polish album beat foreign stars. Spotify revealed what the world listened to the most

Spotify publishes weekly global charts of the platform’s most popular hits. Summer time is, as you can see, the perfect moment for our native artists. According to the application in the social media, the Polish album took fourth place among the most listened to songs in the world.

Karol G became famous for her performance in the Colombian show “The X Factor”. Today, it boasts the first place in the “Top Albums Debut Global” list published by Spotify. Her album “Manana Sera Bonito (Bichota Season)” was the most listened album on the platform between August 11 and 13.

Second place went to rapper Trippie Redd and his album “A Love Letter to You”. The podium is closed by the Indian artist Darshan Raval with the album “Dard”. The fourth place is taken by the electronic band Jungle with the album “Volcano”.

As you can see, the fashion for Polish rap is not falling. In fifth place on the list we find the collective SB Maffija with the album “Hotel Maffija 3”. On the album you can hear well-known Polish artists such as Lanek, BiaƂas, Solar, White 2115 or the Kacperczyk brothers.

In the race for places in the top, Polish artists managed to beat, among others, the rock band The Band CAMINO or one of the most influential musicians in Africa – rapper Olamide. The list also includes an album by Ludwig Goransson, the composer of the soundtrack to “Oppenheimer”, a dance music performer with the pseudonym Anyma and the Brazilian singer Ferrugema.

The song that recently took over Spotify is “Bad idea, right?” Olivia Rodrigo, although the top was definitely dominated by pieces from the album Karol G. The global hits also include the South Korean singer V and his two songs “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days”.
