While the living energy of pop culture was already felt in its surroundings, on the main stage the fifth edition of the Comic Con Ecuador, which takes place until tomorrow at the Guayaquil Convention Center.

The act started with a few words of Olga Bashbush, representative of the United States embassy, who stressed that Comic Con Ecuador returns with great emotion. “It is a joy to see that one of the great comic con of the region is held in Guayaquil (…) The comic industry drives creativity and the economy (…) Welcome to Comic Con. I invite you to dream and to create and to be the superheroes of their lives “, he expressed.
While, Gloria Gallardo, president of the Public Tourism Company, indicated that this convention is a sample of the warrior spirit of the city. “Guayaquil does not stop its rhythm, it never ceases to amaze us (…) this Comic Con makes us dream, makes us watch, makes us fill with the best vibes”, Held.
He thanked the presence of the more than 70 commercial exhibitors and national artisans; as well as the attendance of 7 international graphic artists, 32 national graphic artists and 3 cosplayers international “This is an example of the economic reactivation”, he claimed.
He also recalled that there is no age to enjoy a Comic Con. “Superheroes represent what we aspire to, the triumph of good over evil”, he exclaimed.
While Fernando Flores placeholder image, executive director, celebrated the return to presence after teamwork. “For us, the effort we have made to host the fifth edition is enormous. We will improve in the future to give the best of pop culture ”, manifested.
The opening ceremony featured the intervention of Mauren Mendo, Mexican artist and performer of the series’ musical themes Knights of the Zodiac.
“We are proudly geeks… we are here for the same thing. We are made of love ”, Mendo said, while the public present cheered him and chanted the popular song.
In the end, the actor Ray Fisher, Cyborg in the League of Justice, went on stage to cut the opening ribbon together with the authorities.
