Hers was the color of hazel and she had long brown hair that she usually wore in a ponytail. Although she was friendly, her colleagues considered her a somewhat mysterious person.
3 2002 seemed like a day like any other. Iwona Wąsik was dressed in jeans, blue trainers and a brown sweater. On that fateful day, as every morning, she went to the gymnasium, and after finishing her lessons, around 1:40 p.m., she and her friend returned home. On the way, she met her mother, who pointed out that she had forgotten to take the jar from the school canteen, so the girls went back to school, and then parted and went home. What happened to Iwona Wąsik? There are several hypotheses
Initially, it was assumed that Iwona might have run away from home. No tracking dogs were used to find her. During the investigation, it came to light that the teenager often frequented nearby Internet cafes. She was supposed to pretend to be older than she really was and to correspond with many people. One of the hypotheses of her disappearance is therefore the potential meeting of someone on the Internet with whom she could later make contact. However, the police never confirmed this information.
There are also rumors that on the day she disappeared, a group of boys saw Iwona in the vicinity of the store in the company of an elderly long-haired man (20-25 years old) wearing a leather jacket and combat boots. 4 days after Iwona disappeared, a friend who saw her last reported to the police that a man with a similar appearance was tearing down posters about the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from poles. This theory has also never been confirmed. The case of Iwona Wąsik’s disappearance is conducted by the X-Files and the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gliwice. People with information about the girl can report it to the emergency number.
