The movie Barbie, with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles, became a phenomenon that positioned the color pink on the market, but also the iconic Mattel doll, which is why the toy company launched a special edition and limited character.
The American brand, which has been involved in the production and distribution of toys for more than 60 years, has announced to users that it will bring a “rare Barbie” to the market.
It is a doll with characteristics similar to the traditional one, but with special details reminiscent of “weird Barbie”, the character played by the actress Kate McKinnon.

In the creations section of the Mattel website, you will find all the details about this Barbie from the movie, whose presentation is already in pre-order, although it will reach users who buy it in May 2024.
How much does Mattel’s “rare Barbie” cost?
Doll “Rare Barbie” will be designed by Javier Meabe with a body type that is flexible and made for movement, as described by Mattel.
According to the toy company’s official site, users can order a limited special edition doll this way and pay a small price of $50.

The figure with short and disheveled hair, with visible marks on her face, simulates the “rare Barbie”, a character from the film that has been breaking records since its first weekend in theaters.
“If anyone knows a thing or two about being weird, it’s Rare Barbie, a character in the making from the movie ‘Barbie,'” describes the Mattel site, which also states that the piece will come in collectible packaging from Barbie Movie and will have a certificate of authenticity that will give it more value when it is no longer on the market.

“Our version of the doll wears an outfit inspired by the one you’ll see in the movie, a bright pink dress with colorful artwork and puffy sleeves, and green snakeskin boots,” the toy’s description continues.
“Rare Barbie” will also include a doll stand among her accessories, and her clothes may vary in color.

Mattel posted the sale announcement on its official site, and orders for the doll are open from August 4th to August 18th with no purchase limit. After the user enters the website and completes his request, the company will debit the amount to the user’s payment account with the order date.
When a doll release is available, the company will contact the customer prior to shipping their order to verify shipping address information. (AND)
