Dismembering a person is also considered a serious crime in Thailand and can be punished with 15 to 20 years in prison, reports La Vanguardia.

He condemns Daniel Sancho
A chef who killed, dismembered and dumped body parts of a plastic surgeon in various areas of Koh Phangan, a tourist island located in southern Thailand, could avoid the death penalty if convicted of “non-aggravated” manslaughter, a crime under Article 288. Criminal law of that country.

Despite the absence of an extradition treaty between Thailand and Spain, there is an agreement signed by both countries that stipulates the “execution of criminal sentences”.
According to La Vanguardia, this agreement would allow a request to extradite Sancho to Spain after he was convicted of a crime punishable by a penalty other than death.

The same newspaper states that the chef could follow in the same footsteps as his compatriot Artur Segarra, who killed and dismembered a man on Thai soil and was sentenced to death.
“They are making a film about all this without knowing anything”: Silvia Bronchalo, the mother of Daniel Sancho who gave up her acting career and leads an anonymous life, again comes to the defense of her son
Segarra wrote to Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn, asking for a commutation of his death sentence, which was granted in 2020 after eight years in prison. Having achieved this, the killer began the process of serving the rest of his life sentence in Spain.
Currently, Daniel is arrested and, after confessing to the crime of Arrieta, he is sent to Koh Samui prison by order of the judge. (AND)
