The spokesman for Canal+ Polska, Piotr Kaniowski, gave an interview to the portal in which he revealed that some of the most popular Polish productions will soon debut on Netflix. However, distribution rights are not granted to the platform exclusively, and the series will still be available on other streaming services. – Several Canal+ productions will be added to Netflix. The content will not be exclusive there. We share our content with other providers in a similar way. Such a procedure is aimed at increasing the popularity of the titles and expanding the audience by building the reach.
Polish Netflix series 2023. News worth watching
Already on August 30, 2023, there will be e.g. series directed by Łukasz Palkowski, considered one of the best Polish series on Canal+. This gripping, dark story, whose main plot is the search for 15-year-old Ada, was based on the book by Wojciech Chmielarz. The girl disappears from the summer resort while on vacation with her parents and their friends. Extensive searches soon turn out to be fruitless. The teenager disappears without a trace. The distraught father cannot let go, and the riddle keeps him awake at night. After a year, he decides to return to the place where he last saw his daughter and tries to connect the dots again. Will this time find out what happened last summer?
The production featured a plethora of the biggest stars. The main roles were entrusted to Agnieszka Żulewska and Hanna Koczewska. The cast also included Cezary Pazura, Piotr Stramowski, Wojciech Zieliński, Marta Malikowska, Joachim Lamża and Tamara Arciuch. In the following weeks, other Canal+ titles will also join the platform’s library, including “Misja Afghanistan” from 2012 with Piotr Rogucki and Ilona Ostrowska in the main roles.
