What is Agnieszka Holland’s “Green Border” about?
“Green Border”, which will hit cinemas on September 22, is a fictional story, but the script of the film was based on real events that are happening right next to us, on the Polish-Belarusian border. Preparations for the film involved hundreds of hours of document analysis, interviews with refugees, border guards, borderland residents, activists and experts. “The poignantly current ‘Green Border’ is a cinema committed to an important and current topic. “The Woman With” was originally going to be titled “Let Me In”. This is another directing collaboration between Szumowska and Englert. The main character of the film is Adam – a good husband and father from a small Polish town, who begins to feel more and more uncomfortable in his body. He feels that his true identity is a woman named Aniela.
The main roles will be played by Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik and Joanna Kulig.
