Puls TV announced that it was resuming the broadcast of the soap opera. The Argentinian production will be available from the beginning of August. Subsequent episodes will air Monday through Friday at 10am. This information was met with an ambivalent reception.
“Rebellious Angel” on TV again. Viewers are divided
Information about the return of the Argentinian production was received very enthusiastically by some viewers. Under the post with the message about the resumption of the broadcast, there are comments such as: “I haven’t seen the whole thing, so I’ll watch it now”, “I know it by heart and I love them all. I will watch it for sure”, “Beautiful memories”, “I love this series”, “Great, I will watch it”, “OOO, but it’s nice that it’s back on the air”.
Some people point out that the broadcasting hours make it impossible to follow the next episodes: “I’m going to watch it, unless I’m at work. Then it’s not”, “Another time would be useful”, “A different time would be nice, for example at 21”. Some viewers remember that the series could also be watched last year and ask if it is possible to resume other telenovelas: “Well, it’s nice, but why again. Maybe repeat other series, e.g. “Think about other reruns too, like ‘The Woman in the Mirror’.”
“Rebellious Angel” was made from 1998 to 1999 and has 270 episodes. He came to Poland in May 2000 – he was the first to show it on Polsat TV. Next were reruns on TV4. After almost a decade of break, TV Puls reminded the production with a new voice-over setting – it was 2013. The series was so popular that during the broadcast of “Rebellious Angel” the station was overtaken only by Polsat and TVN. The station then showed the telenovela in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022.
“Rebellious Angel” tells the story of a teenage Milagros who, when she turns 18, has to move out of the orphanage where she grew up and take a job. A lively and very talkative girl, also known as Mili or Cholito, is hired as a maid in the mansion of the rich Di Carlo family. There, she befriends the doyen of the family and the rest of the staff, and after some time discovers that she has much more in common with the clan than just work. Years ago her mother worked in the same household and fell in love with the young master. She got pregnant, and then things got very complicated. Now Mili discovers who her real father is and falls in love herself, but there are still many difficulties to overcome.
The production made her an international star and successfully helped her develop her music career. The actress and singer then performed with concerts in countries around the world, including Poland. She became especially popular in Russia – the phenomenon of her popularity in this country was so great that the artist was called “Putin’s favorite” and even received Russian citizenship. After the war broke out in Ukraine, Oreiro appealed for peace and posted a graphic saying “No to war” online.
