On August 3, the 29th Pol’and’Rock Festival begins, an event created by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity to thank you for your commitment and generosity during the Finals of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. However, the president of the Foundation found a moment to share the content of an unusual letter with his followers on social media.

Its author is a priest who decided to share his very personal thoughts with Owsiak. The president of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity pointed out that he would not reveal these most private threads, but he would quote part of the letter. “The most important message is what hurts and worries a priest from an ordinary parish” – points out Owsiak.
“I am an ordinary priest in the usual place of my ministry. And I just can’t look at what is happening in our country anymore – and it’s about the unfortunate alliance between the throne and the altar – specifically the PiS government with the Catholic Church,” writes the author of the letter, which may surprise some. After all, the arrangements between the Church and the Polish authorities should be convenient for you. However, “paranoia”, as the priest calls the current situation in Poland, has crossed his borders.
Clergyman to Owsiak: We need an opposition victory to remove PiS from power
“I was wondering what I, an ordinary, gray priest and at the same time a citizen of our country, can do in the face of this drama. I prayed, and an idea came to my mind. We need the opposition to win this year’s elections, and it doesn’t matter which option to remove PiS from power,” the priest writes. In the next words of the letter, the author emphasizes and appeals that young people should go to the polls in the upcoming elections. The clergyman claims that it is the young generation that should be persuaded and encouraged to vote.
The clergyman notes that the Church also has an interest in reshuffling the government. “This can save Poland, it can save us from leaving the European Union. It can save … even the church, because the Church must come to its senses, sober up, come to its senses. This can save us all from a national tragedy,” we read in the letter. At the same time, the priest swears that he really belongs to the parish, because he knows that his views may surprise you.
Owsiak thanked the priest for the letter and indicated that he supported his words one hundred percent. He added that taking part in the elections is an obligation of every citizen, which must be fulfilled especially now.
