For many, the vision of change was unacceptable from the beginning. It was announced, among others boycotts and mass cancellations of subscribed packages. However, that did not happen. According to the portal, the platform is used by nearly 13 million Poles and so far only two complaints regarding this issue have been submitted to UOKiK. – At the moment, we have two similar complaints regarding account sharing under the so-called household to Netflix. We analyze both signals. If we decide on specific administrative actions towards this company, we will keep you informed – said the spokeswoman of the institution, Małgorzata Cieloch. The exact contents of the complaints or the claims of their authors have not been disclosed. However, if the office finds them justified, stating that Netflix or other operators have violated Polish law, which offer access to the platform in their services, it is possible to call for changes in the regulations or a financial penalty. It can be up to 10% of the company’s annual turnover.
