Krzysztof Piasecki from an early age was distinguished by his extraordinary character. As he was growing up, many predicted a career in comedies for him, although he had a completely different plan for himself. He took his first steps on the professional stage in 1971. It was then that, together with Krzysztof Szczucki, whom he met during his studies, he founded the band “Brylantowe spinki”. For his debut, he even received an award at the 11th Polish Song Festival in Opole.
His career developed rapidly. Viewers loved his wit
The 1980s were a breakthrough for him, then he joined Pod Egidą in Warsaw and began to meet the audience regularly. When his performances began to be broadcast on television, the fan base began to grow. Soon, he received a proposal from Polsat to host the “Miss Telewizji” program, and then took a role in the series “Dyżurny Satiryk Kraju”. The greatest popularity, however, brought him a duet with , which they created for the “Ale stain” program broadcast on TVN. Their accurate observations and comments on current events on the political scene quickly won the audience’s appreciation. After 6 years, the format was taken off the air, and the cabaret artists joined Telewizja Polska, where they hosted “It’s a shame to talk” for some time. It was then that Piasecki withdrew from public life for a while.
A family tragedy left its mark on his life. He couldn’t recover for a long time
The reason why Piasecki decided to suspend his career was a personal tragedy. His only son, Wojciech, died tragically while on a skiing trip with friends. “He was supposed to go skiing with me. He called earlier and said he was going with friends. It’s a step away from madness to think “what if I didn’t agree” – in the “Dzień Dobry TVN” program. he couldn’t come to his senses for a long time. He tried to live a normal life, escaping into work, but even on stage, depressing thoughts and images returned to him. This also had a negative impact on his marriage, which, as a result of a family tragedy, eventually fell apart. He knew he couldn’t do it on his own, so he decided to ask for help. “As a result, I ended up in therapy. In these 10 years, not a day goes by that I don’t think about my son 3 to 5 times. Now I sometimes do not think for a few days, or think with pleasure – he said in the same conversation.
