At the top of the TOP5 list of the most popular albums in Poland was the rapper Kukon and his album “calm.” Hip-hop is the predominant genre on the list. In fourth place is Avi and his album “Mały Książe” and the list is closed by club2020 with the album of the same title. The album was recorded by the collective of the most famous rappers in Poland, such as OKI, Young Leosia, Otsochody, PRO8L3M, Szczyl and Young Igi.
The most-bought albums of 2023. What do Poles listen to?
The second most-bought album by Poles in the first half of 2023 was “Twenties”. The podium of the list is closed by S and “Sanah sings Poezyje”. When it comes to streaming-only statistics, we have a swap: Dawid Podsiadło tops the list, and Kuban takes second place. The album club2020 also joined the top three. Two more places were taken by Sanah: on the 4th place with the album “Uczta” and on the 5th place with “Sanah sings Poezyje”.
The list of the most-bought vinyl records looks completely different. From the titles included in the top it is clear that black records are mainly bought by rock and metal fans. Kult’s album “Kult XLI” came first, followed by the new release “Memento Mori”, and the album “72 Seasons” closes the podium. The list also includes Riverside and “ID. Enity” and “Comfort and Happiness” by Dawid Podsiadło.
Rap listeners buy records, rock lovers love vinyl
When it comes to the song that Poles especially liked in the first half of 2023, her piece “Flowers” won the clash. Right after her on the list we find “Malibu Barbie” from club2020, and the podium is closed by “mori” by Dawid Podsiadły. The list also includes the song “Taxi from Kiza with the crew” and the duo of Kubana and Favsta with the song “na round”.
Miley Cyrus also reigned on radio stations. The second most played piece in Poland was “Wonders” by Michael Patrick Kelly, and “Creepin'” came in third, in which three American artists joined forces: Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage. The list also includes “Gossip” from Maneskin and Nicky Youre with the single “Eyes On You”.
