Every Tuesday, the American streaming service updates four global lists of the most popular productions today: an English-language movie, an English-language series, a non-English-language movie and a non-English-language series. Productions appear in these rankings based on the total number of hours that subscribers around the world spent watching a given title from Monday to Sunday of the previous week. For each production, we will also find the number of weeks for which a given movie or series season is on the list.
Some time ago, Netflix decided to change the way of measuring the viewership of its series, which has been raising many doubts for some time. Previously, the streaming giant gave a given title only 28 days to qualify for the all-time list. Now this time has been extended to 91 days, which means that titles that gain popularity after a long time have a chance to be included in the list. Another novelty is the start of the publication of a new data – the number of hours watched divided by the total duration of the movie or series.
Top 10 English-language Netflix series
As for the list of the most popular English-language series, it is currently number one “Wednesday” starring Jenna Ortega, which has collected over 252 million views. The production was an undisputed hit last winter and gained popularity among both children and older audiences. In second place is the fourth season “Stranger Things”, which managed to collect “on the counter” over 140 million views. The production of the Duffer brothers, like “Wednesday”, is eagerly watched by users of all ages. At the end of the podium there is a controversial title “Dahmer – The Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer”which has been viewed over 115 million times.

Top 10 non-English Netflix series
It remains number one on the list of the most-watched non-English series of all time. “Squid Game” The South Korean production has amassed over 265 million views, making it the most-watched Netflix series overall. In second place on the list is the second season of Spanish “House of Paper”and the third place belongs to the French series “Lupin” about the legendary burglar.

Top 10 Netflix English-language movies
In the category of English-language films, the first place belongs to “Red Note” from 2021, where one of the main roles is played by Dwayne Johnson. The second place also belongs to the comedy, which is the film “don’t look up” from the same year. It featured a plethora of the biggest stars – Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, and Ariana Grande. At the end of the podium was a science-fiction film “Project Adam”which debuted on the platform in 2022.

Top 10 Netflix foreign language movies
In the category of the most popular foreign-language films of all time, a Norwegian film took first place “troll” from 2022. The remaining places on the podium went to Spanish productions, i.e. horror “Platform” from 2019 and a romantic comedy “Through My Window” from 2022. It is worth noting that Spanish-language productions in general are very popular among subscribers, which can also be seen in the high viewership of such series as “School for the Elite”.

Netflix most often chosen by Poles
Although the streaming giant does not provide official data on its users in Poland, it is the most popular VOD service in our country. According to the data provided by Mediapanel, Netflix as a website and an application for mobile devices and smart TVs attracted 12.92 million Polish Internet users, each of whom spent an average of 7 hours, 10 minutes and 47 seconds there. The reach of the platform in Poland amounted to 43.55%. As for the number of subscribers globally, at the end of Q4 2022, the services of the streaming service were used by a total of 230.75 million users.
