Ertibil brings the works of 18 emerging artists from Bizkaia to the Sala Rekalde

The exhibition of emerging artists from Biscay Ertibil Bizkaia opens this Friday at the Sala Rekalde in Bilbao. The exhibitors are 18 young artists who live and work in Bizkaia and whose projects have been selected by the Ertibil program, of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, which is celebrating its 41st edition.

The exhibition is traveling in nature and will later be shown in the Getxo, Sestao and Balmaseda exhibition halls and on January 5, 2024 it will arrive at the Barakaldo Municipal Exhibition Hall.

The three main winners, Jon Ander García, Maider Aldasoro Diaz and the duo Ibai Madariaga and Miel Oyarzabal, will enjoy a residence in Japan as part of the award.

In addition to those already mentioned, participate in the exhibition Imanol Abad Martínez & Imanol Expósito Delgado, Daniel Alegrete, Izaskun Araluzea Itza, Alejandro González Osés, Julene Gregorio Uriarte, Leire Lacunza Miranda, Ibon Landa Amutxategi, Idoia Leache Olagüe, Claudia Rebeca Lorenzo, Julen Martin Zaballa, Lugha Mathews Bouchard, Estela Miguel, Javier Ozcoidi, Ander Sagastiberri Fernández, and Amaia Santamaria Andres.

The jury was made up of Alazne Zubizarreta, the winning artist of Ertibil Bizkaia 2022; Naia del Castillo, artist and professor of Fine Arts at the UPV-EHU; Aimar Arriola, curator of Plastic Arts; and Miriam Alzuri, head of collections at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, as well as author of the texts of the book published for the exhibition.
