Hosted by the Emmy Award-nominated actress Yvette Nicole Brown and the president of the Television Academy Frank Schermathe announcement coincides with a deadline to prevent a strike by more than 160,000 members of the SAG/AFTRA union, as film and television writers have been on strike for more than two months, shutting down most Hollywood productions.
